ContaminActions for Europe is a one-day webinar conference. The event is a collaboration between the aps Glocal Factory, an expert in training and Euro design, and the research organisation Alteritas – Interaction between Peoples, which studies forms of contact and exchange between different cultures and peoples. Both felt the need to discuss the current issues and s de facto concerning the European Union. The aim is to open a critical, multidisciplinary and diachronic discussion on the European identity formed through contaminations, and at the same time to become a concrete action for its construction.

AlteritaSeminars 2017. Before the alphabet. Journey to Mesopotamia at the origins of writing – Marchesini, Fales
First of the meetings scheduled in the cycle “Alteritas Seminars 2017”. The conference will be held at the headquarters of Alteritas, via del Seminario 8, in Verona and will focus on the presentation of the exhibition “Before the alphabet. Journey to Mesopotamia at the Origins of Writing’. It will be led by Assyrologist Fredrick Mario Fales, who is also the curator of the exhibition, which is being held in Venice at Palazzo Loredan until 25 April.

On Monday 10 April 2017, at 5 p.m., the second of the seminars scheduled in the cycle “AlteritaSeminari 2017”, organised by Alteritas, is scheduled. The topic will be “Wikipedia and Museums, projects and platforms for the dissemination of cultural heritage”, with the participation of Annamaria Marras, Wikimedia Italia and founding member of Alteritas Trentino. The meeting will be held at the headquarters of Alteritas, in Via del Vescovo 8, in Verona, and will take place after the ordinary members’ meeting, scheduled for 4 p.m. PhD in topography and classical archaeology at the University of Siena, Annamaria Marras has a multifaceted background that makes her constantly attentive to the technological and IT evolutions of archaeological and geographical research, especially applications on landscape studies. She deals with information systems for cultural heritage and new computer applications in archaeology. After a 2nd level master’s degree in Geotechnologies for archaeology at the CGT of the University of Siena, he attended several national and international training and refresher courses on new non-invasive technologies applied to cultural and landscape heritage. He has taken part in several archaeological reconnaissance missions in Tunisia and Turkey led by Prof. Mariette de Vos Raijamakers (University of Trento), with whom he has collaborated since 2001. Since 2008, he has been a lecturer in Archaeological Research Methodology and Classical Archaeology at the University of Trento. She currently collaborates with various museums and Archaeological Superintendencies. Since 2014 she has been a member of Wikimedia Italia, for which she has been the national coordinator of Archives and Museums since 2016.
